Terms of Service

Working draft — not yet legal advice. Written for how Yaarzi actually works today. Text in [highlighted brackets] must be supplied by Yaarzi, and the whole document must be reviewed by Indian counsel before launch. Publishing it does not by itself make Yaarzi compliant with any law or standard.

These terms are the agreement between you and Yaarzi when you use our website or apps. In short: Yaarzi is for adults, every booking is platonic, prices and payments go through Yaarzi, and everyone must follow our Community Standards.

What Yaarzi is — and is not

Yaarzi is a marketplace that connects adults who want company for a social activity (“customers”) with verified adults who offer to accompany them (“Raahis”). Yaarzi is operated by [registered legal name].

Every booking is for platonic social company only. Yaarzi is not a dating, escort, adult-entertainment, medical, nursing or care service. Any request for sexual services, or any sexual or romantic advance during a booking, is a serious breach of these terms.

Who can use Yaarzi

  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
  • You must be in India and give true, current information about yourself.
  • One account per person. Your account is personal — don’t let anyone else use it.
  • We may refuse or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk.

Identity verification

To post plans, offer to join plans or be booked, you must verify your identity with Aadhaar via DigiLocker and a Live Face Verification, as described in our Privacy Policy. Verification means we have checked that the account belongs to a real adult; it is not a background check and not a guarantee of anyone’s character or conduct. Never rely on verification alone — follow our Safety Guidelines.

Plans and bookings

  1. A verified customer posts a plan. Verified Raahis who match can offer to join.
  2. The customer reviews each Raahi’s limited profile and accepts one. This creates a booking awaiting payment.
  3. The booking is confirmed only when payment is received within the payment window shown. Unpaid bookings expire.
  4. Either party marks the booking started and completed in the app. Problems can be raised within the dispute window shown on the booking.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown in rupees for each experience, with every line of the calculation, before you accept a Raahi. Yaarzi’s servers calculate the final amount; the price shown in the app is never the authority. Any surcharge (for example, for extra time) appears as its own line before you confirm.

You pay Yaarzi, not the Raahi. Never pay a Raahi directly or outside the app. Third-party costs — tickets, food, travel, entry fees — are not included unless the booking says so.

Online payments are not switched on yet. Until they are, bookings use a test mode that is clearly labelled and does not move real money. [Taxes: state GST treatment once confirmed].

Cancellations and refunds

Cancellations and refunds follow the Cancellation & Refund Policy in force when the customer accepted the Raahi. The exact terms are shown before you accept and saved on the booking.

How everyone must behave

  • Treat others with respect. Consent is required for everything; either person can leave at any time.
  • No harassment, threats, discrimination, intoxication that endangers others, or illegal activity.
  • No sexual services or solicitation, and no requests for them.
  • Don’t share another member’s personal information or photos outside the app.
  • Don’t create fake profiles, impersonate anyone, or use someone else’s ID.
  • Keep bookings and payments on Yaarzi.

Reviews

You can review a booking only after it is completed, once per booking. Reviews must be honest and about the experience. We may hide reviews that break our Community Standards, and we record why.

Reports and disputes

Report safety concerns at any time from the booking or from Help & safety. Raise a dispute about a booking within the dispute window. While a dispute is open, any earnings on that booking are held. Our team reviews the history and evidence and decides whether the booking stands or a refund is due. In an emergency, call 112 first.

Suspension and closure

We may suspend or close an account, hide content, or cancel a booking to protect members or comply with the law. Where it is safe to do so we will tell you why. You can close your account at any time from support.

Our content and software

The Yaarzi name, logo, website, apps, design, text and software belong to Yaarzi and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may use them only to use the service for yourself.

You must not copy, scrape, crawl or harvest profiles, photos, prices or other content; use bots or scripts to access the service; reverse engineer, decompile or try to extract the source code of the website or apps; get around rate limits, blurring, verification or other protections; or build a competing product from our content. We may block access and take legal action against anyone who does.

Our responsibility

Yaarzi provides the platform; Raahis are [state the legal relationship — independent users of the platform — as confirmed by counsel]. [Limitation of liability and indemnity clauses, as drafted by counsel]. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Indian consumer law that cannot be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at [city] have jurisdiction, subject to consumer-protection law.
